Big following for the
IW Foxhound meets
T

he IW Foxhounds
enjoyed two successful
festive hunts. There were
over 40 mounted followers
and approximately 350-foot
supporters on Boxing Day.
The President awarded best
turned out, under 16, to Chloe
Beckley, and it was special for
Secretary Eve Ablitt, who was
mounted, as it marked 60
years since she first hunted.
New Year’s Day was one of
two meets during the season
when there is a joint meet
with the Isle of Wight Foot
Beagles, and it was good to
see so many supporters both
mounted and on foot. Some
beautiful country was covered
and it proved a fantastic start
to 2015.
