Getting ready for
the essential tasks
E

merging through the other side
of winter, the daylight hours are
slowly drawing longer as we head
into spring. Our attention is now drawn
to the sap rising, temperatures gradually
increasing and the tasks that are essential
at this time of year.
Preparations for this season’s growing
plan are well under way. We are readying
the Quarr Abbey plot and our land usage
scheme partners are now aware of the
plan for this year. The produce selection
process has taken place and more new,
unusual and heritage varieties will be
added to the list of already popular
