Having fun and raising funds
A
total of £4,300 was raised for Naomi House and Jacksplace at
the 37th annual charity event, organised by Terence Willey at
the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at Cowes.
Good food, good wine and entertainment was the recipe for 82
guests who enjoyed fine entertainment from Dr. Kieron Cooney
(bagpipes), Grant O’Brien (piano), Vectis Brass Band, Rebekah (belly
dancer) and top of the bill Helena Mace, a professional singer from
Bournemouth.
Jacksplace fund-raising officer Paul Morgan, who attended the
event, expr essed his gratitude to everyone for their generosity,
confirming that many Island children continued to benefit from the
fine work being undertaken by them.
Terence Willey said: “It was once again an overwhelming response
from not only those present but many other individuals and
businesses locally to achieve such a wonderful result. It is touching
to note that this event has now established itself on the calendar of
many individuals as a very special and enjoyable occasion.”
