he Newport British Heart Foundation
Furniture and Electrical store recently
celebrated its third birthday. There were
plenty of special birthday offers across all areas of
the store, and there will be plenty more bargains to
come in the coming weeks and months.
BHF Area Manager, Paul Pritchard, said: “We’ve
enjoyed a fantastic three years of business in
the Newport Furniture and Electrical store. I’d
like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal
customers and volunteers who really make this
store special and help the BHF fund its life-saving
research.”
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is one of the UK’s
biggest killers and a combined 749 people on the
Isle of Wight die from CHD or cardiovascular disease
each year. To date, the BHF has provided funding
for 53 defibrillators across the Island and there are
seven active Health at Work schemes.
The Furniture and Electrical store offers a wide
range of household items, brand new and donated,
such as beds, sofas, dining tables and chairs, TVs,
washing machines and small electrical items. The
profits raised from sales go into the fight against
heart disease and help fund the BHF’s life-saving
research.
