It's all systems go for
Bembridge's Beach Hut
The Beach Hut, Bembridge is gearing up
for a busy few months ahead. Opening
in March, it's all systems go for menus
and exciting plans. Coping with over 140
lunches on a daily basis last summer was
a big learning curve for Team Beach Hut.
Days after days of sun replaced their first
year of endless rain and wind!
"It’s been a wonderful start for us" says
Emma Guy, joint owner with her husband
Jon Guy.
"We have been blessed with national
recognition in The Telegraph, awarded
‘Best of the Best’ from The Isle of Wight
Food Guide, received a great review
from Matt and Cat and now we’ve been
nominated for a Red Funnel award for
‘best eaterie by the sea’. We’ve hosted
birthdays, a wake, a wedding breakfast,
delivered lunch to boats and suppers to
houses. Customers fly into Bembridge,
arrive by rib, cycle, walk and come from all
corners of the Island.
"Staying true to our roots of
Mediterranean flavours and style we
pride ourselves on providing a great
service and a fabulous setting. We offer
seafood, sharing platters, salads, secret
recipe Crab Ramekins, vegi treats and
gluten free options. There is also morning
coffee and cakes, a Spanish breakfast
of Ciabatta, cured ham and tomatoes
offered. Lunch is our main focus.
"Our voicemail is kept updated daily. We
are not licensed, but you are welcome to
bring your own wine. We think life isn’t
about being greedy. We are dog friendly
too."
