Dining at The College
The College Restaurant at Isle of Wight
College is fast gaining a reputation for
fine food at competitive prices.
The restaurant and kitchens are
primarily staffed by students under the
expert guidance of professional college
staff. All food is prepared and cooked
on site, and you will be served, by the
college’s dedicated hospitality students
trained in various service styles.
The College Restaurant’s new
Restaurant Manager, Emmanuel
Ferdinand, trained in Paris at a top
catering school where he achieved a
Master in Hospitality and Catering. He
worked in France for Hilton, Sofitel and
the Ritz, Champs Elysees.
Emmanuel arrived in Britain in 2000,
and since moving to the Island has
worked at The Hambrough, Ventnor
as the Restaurant Manager, and at the
Crab and Lobster, Bembridge, where he
achieved, with the team, best restaurant,
pub and bed and breakfast of The Isle Of
Wight, a golden achievement.
The Restaurant’s head chef Bryn
Edwards moved to the Island five years
ago and has been Head Chef at the
Priory Bay Hotel and the Pond Café. The
