Bloodhounds run free
T

he IW Farmers’ Bloodhounds
Christmas Meet took place
at Waytes Farm, Brighstone,
courtesy of Mr and Mrs John
Whannop.
A mounted field of 45 riders
headed to Brighstone Down for the
first of the three runs hunting Jack
Broomfield, the human quarry.
Asa Wingate, Master Huntsman,
and Roger Broomfield, Master, had
built plenty of fences of all shapes
and sizes for the field to enjoy.

Everyone had an enjoyable day with
many jumping the five bar gate
towards the end.
The Isle of Wight Farmer’s
Bloodhounds would like to
extend their thanks to the many
landowners and farmers who allow
the hunt to cross their country, and
to Mr and Mrs Whannop for hosting
the Christmas Meet.
