Special guest helps mark Ventnor
Flower Club 50th celebrations
The lady in charge of the flowers at Westminster
Abbey, and for the Diamond Jubilee as well as
William and Kate’s wedding, has been on the Island.
Jane Rowton Lee was the guest of honour, speaking
at a special lunch at The Royal Hotel in Ventnor.
More than 70 people turned up for the event which
marked the 50th anniversary of Ventnor Flower
Arrangement Club.
Programme Secretary Nina Hale said "It was a
massive coup for us to have Jane Rowton Lee here
for our big day.
"We are all very proud. This is certainly
the highlight of our calendar year and is the
culmination of the hard work put in by everyone".
Ventnor Flower Arrangement Club was originally
formed at The Royal Hotel in 1964.
