The IW Roads Policing team
target four areas of bad driving
behaviour in particular. They
are:
targeting the right people. We don’t
target groups or individual people;
we target poor and anti-social
driving behaviour.”
He added: “If a driver has bald
tyres on a car that puts it at risk
of losing control and causing a
collision, my officers will deal
with that person. It is not about
statistics or heavy fines; it is about
having that matter corrected.

education is enforcement. If people
do not like it then it is up to them
to take more care.

looking after your car, puts people’s
lives at risk. That is not tolerable

have too many crashes and we need
to reduce that number.”
