Julian Wadham, who has close
connections with the Island, and

as ‘The English Patient’ and ‘The
Iron Lady’, as well as a host of

Bembridge-based Commander
Roy Hollis was 95 when he sadly
died recently. Roy fought in
four wars including World War
II, and just before he suddenly
passed away I spoke to him
about his amazing life at sea. I
would like to thank his family
for allowing us to produce my
interview as a tribute to him.

chairperson Caroline Knox,

the chief of the IW Ambulance
Service Chris Smith, and Sgt
