Friendly celebration
A dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the
founding of the Friends of Royal Osborne House
was held recently.
Around 80 of the 500 members attended the
function, including a number of the founder
members. Drinks were served in the Durbar
Room at Osborne House, followed by a
conducted tour by curator Michael Hunter. The
tour was then followed by the celebration dinner
in the Terrace Restaurant.
The Friends of Royal Osborne House keenly
support the House, and recently helped fund
the purchase at auction of a painting of Queen
Victoria lying in state.
