The Island's new Wi-Fi and internet
radio station launches
Sunday 1st Feb 09 saw the
launch of the Islands first Wi-Fi
and internet radio station.
wightFM held a launch party
throughout Sunday where the
champagne was flowing. Mr
Andrew Turner MP opened the
new station which is now Alex
Dyke's new home.
Alex has hired an array of
Radio 1 legends including Mike
Read, Paul Burnett, Ed (Stewpot)
Stewart, David (Diddy) Hamilton,
Richard Cartridge, Emperor
Rosco, Mark Wesley, and finally
Benny Brown. Not forgetting our
local talent we have Derek Sandy
with a one hour Reggae show,
Geoff Hughes with a Beatles
hour and Chris Stewart with an
hour long Soul show.
Of course the phone-in is

Island Life are looking for an articulate and outgoing friendly
person to sell advertising space in this very popular
Island glossy magazine.
The applicant must hold a clean current driving licence and be
very smart in their appearance. The position offered is full time,
and offers a basic salary together with a generous commission
structure which will be based upon the applicants experience.
Previous experience of selling advertising
space is essential.
The successful applicant must have a proven
track record in sales.
