Award winning Morgans brings
new flavours to Shanklin
Morgans Restaurant has
released an exciting new menu
for 2008. Winning Island Life
Newcomer of the Year award
provided the inspiration to
move forward for 2008.
Tim Morgan, proprietor
chef said “The staff and
I were so thrilled with all
the support we had from
our voting customers which
enabled us to win this award
in our first year of opening.”
But developing the new menu
has been tricky. He didn’t
want to risk disappointing
customers by removing
dishes which had become
firm favourites. “It’s hard
to change something that's
working well,” said Tim.
“However it's important to
change with the times and
keep my menu exciting."
Some of the firm favourites,
like Crispy Duck
Salad, Lamb
Shanks, and
Halibut with
Tiger Prawns
are remaining
on the menu.
New dishes
include Smoked
Haddock
Ramekin,
Smoked Salmon
Crab & Prawn
stack, and Belly of Pork.
Tim is particularly excited
about the introduction
of fusion dishes such as
Singapore Duck Noodles,
Crispy Thai Beef Salad and
Vietnamese Tiger Prawn Curry.
As well as introducing
new dishes to their 2008
menu Morgans has launched
speciality nights. Look
out for evenings featuring
food from Greece, Mexico,
Italy and France.
And, responding to requests
from customers, Morgans has
just launched a lunchtime
menu which includes winter
warmers, light-bites and a
Wednesday Mid-week roast.
