Isle of Wight Gift Fair
2007 cheque presentation.
The Isle of Wight Gift Fair,
held at The Bembridge Sailing
Club in November was a great
success. The magnificent

sum of £12,000 was raised.
The Gift Fair Committee
is grateful for the generosity
of donors, Tesco, Schroder

Investment, Taylor Woodrow
and the Bike Shed and
sponsors Christopher Scott
and Wightlink. Half of
the proceeds will go to the
Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
The remaining half will be
equally divided between
Children as Carers and
The Air Ambulance.
This is the most the Gift Fair
has ever raised and brings the
total raised for Island charities
to £80,000. There was an
excellent selection of stalls,
mostly from the mainland,
selling a wide variety of
gifts including toys, clothes,
cookware, food, antiques,
stationery and much more.

The Gift Fair Committee had
their own produce and cake
stall which was groaning with
delicious goodies and a great
selection of Christmas cakes.
This year the Gift Fair will
be held at The Bembridge
Sailing Club on Friday 28th
November and Saturday 29th
November. This will be the
first time the fair will have
been held on a Saturday. Put
the date in your diaries.
