At Liberty
to indulge.
It was an evening of girly
shopping and indulgence.
Ladies had the run of Liberty’s
in Ryde, for the launch, on 17th
January, of its Ladies Club.
While nibbling at the canapés
and quaffing the bubbly to
the sound of the Jim Brooks
Jazz Trio, the invited ladies of
Ryde wandered upstairs and
downstairs, sampling perfume
from Jaks, enjoying makeovers
and mini facials from Relax
Unlimited, Virgin Vie and Ryde
Skincare and Laser Clinic.
There were gifts to buy,
jewellery, fashions and home
wares. A photographer,
contemporary florist, plus
a range of unique gifts,
and the very popular
cheese and wine tastings,
covered all four floors
of this lovely period
building.
Every fifteen minutes there
was a talk: on perfume,
on getting fit – and on
appreciating Sauve. Indeed
the 200-plus ladies seemed
to appreciate everything.
Annie Horne, one of the
partners of Liberty’s, was
delighted with the evening.
“The idea of the Ladies Club
has been very well received,”
she said. “I would like to
thank all the staff for their
unwavering support.”
The Ladies’ Club will offer
discounts to members on
food and drink, but the 18
local businesses present at
the launch evening are also
on board with discounts
which will benefit members,
for the annual fee of £25.
One benefit not specifically
marketed is the networking
opportunities for the
ladies who lunch – which
will be invaluable.
