Many people are so afraid of being in the dreaded dentist ’ s chair that they might not visit a dentist for 20 years or more .
All too often in these situations , gum disease goes undetected - and once that has set in , teeth can be lost and an attractive smile becomes a thing of the past . Often the patient will try to disguise their teeth by distorting their smile . In these photos we can see the results of one case we completed in the summer 2017 , in which two small dentures were fitted to correct a distorted smile and so improve the appearance . After this patient for allowing us to use her photographs . Such a case usually takes us about two weeks from start to finish and costs about £ 700 . Some unlucky people are unable to wear their lower denture as they just have no good gum base left , and in these cases we can often fit four mini implants for £ 1,600 , which will then firmly support and retain the denture .
