Buying your new car and saving thousands !

At last the buyer has gained some power when buying their new car
Just because we are located on an Island doesn ’ t mean that motorists can ’ t shop around .
Indeed , it ’ s still possible to purchase a new car from a mainland main dealer , but still have the car serviced and looked after on the Island via the UK warranty . So how do you get this ‘ best of both worlds ’ deal ? Many dealers will tell you that if a problem develops with your new car , you ’ re much better off having purchased it on the Island - but this is actually not true . In fact , you can expect exactly the same service and warranty whether the car was bought in Newport on Isle of Wight or Glasgow , Scotland . With this in mind you can really shop around , although this is the bit that can put people off venturing onto the mainland : the cost , the hassle and the uncertainty of it all . However , you can now do all the leg work remotely , from the comfort of your own home . An ingenious new service , CarWow , which set up in 2014 , is steadily growing as the “ go-to ” site for anyone wanting a new car . So how does it work ? The principle is simple : CarWow has signed up many of the mainstream dealerships around the UK - from Ford , and VW to BMW , Mercedes , and Audi - and all you have to do is decide which new car you ’ re looking for , which model , spec and colour , and CarWow will do the rest . They will send your request out to all their dealers , omitting your personal details ( so you won ’ t be hounded by the dealerships ) and the dealers start sending you through the best deals they can offer on your choice of car . In most cases , you ’ ll receive at least six top deals . From there on , you have two options : go and buy your car or take the offer into your desired dealer and haggle . Using CarWow has saved buyers thousands of pounds on their purchase , according to its creator James Hind , who said : “ Consumers want a convenient way to compare dealers ’ prices on new cars , plus quality of service and a hassle-free buying experience . Before CarWow , the only way to do that was to spend hours travelling round multiple dealers .” James started by designing a simple , user-friendly website . “ There were no other sites doing what we now do . We set out to make it as simple as possible to appeal to every new car buyer . “ You select the make and model of car that you want , along with any extras that you require . Then it ’ s simply a matter of submitting your details , and within 24 hours you ’ ll start receiving emails with offers from dealers all over the country .” To allay concerns about online security , there is no need to make any online payments . To secure a car , you simply pay a small deposit directly to the dealer , either at their showroom or over the phone , and what ’ s more , your contact details are never shared with anybody .” CarWow has already helped to give 10,000 people an enjoyable buying experience – and , despite providing each client with an average of six offers to choose from , it doesn ’ t charge the buyer for its service . “ Instead we charge the dealers based on the volume of sales that the website provides them ” says James . “ This means we can pass on incredible savings to our customers . So far , the biggest saving has been £ 25,000 !” Over 2014 , James managed to raise nearly £ 6 million of start-up capital from venture capital investors . The firm ’ s biggest backer is Balderton Capital , which has financed other online success stories such as Betfair and Lovefilm . For now , the CarWow founder is happy that his team is well on its way to revolutionising the way we buy new cars . He says : “ I ’ m delighted that we ’ ve already helped to give 10,000 people an enjoyable buying experience , and I hope there ’ ll be many more .”
