The iconic PARKHOUSE legacy was born back in 1794, when a
Blandford man, Daniel Pegler set up a family jewellery business
on England’s south coast. In 1925 this business was combined
with another family run clockmaker’s, and then in 1940 two
businesses came together in the aftermath of the blitz to
cement PARKHOUSE as the local institution it is today.
In 1995 the story heads north when Scotland’s oldest
independent family jeweller LAING, established in 1840,
acquired Parkhouse. A marriage of independent family
businesses with unrivalled histories, PARKHOUSE, like LAING, is

proud to maintain its independent tradition.
Today, some 220 years later and under the ownership of
Michael Laing OBE, one of the UK’s leading gemmologists,
and the great-great-great grandson of the founding family,
PARKHOUSE continues to define the art of fine jewellery
and watches and maintains its inimitable reputation for
craftsmanship, exceptional design, superior diamonds and
precious gemstones.
