Boaters splash out!
O

ver 50 boaters swapped their
usual sailing gear for posh
frocks and dinner jackets in
November, for East Cowes Marina’s
annual Laying-up Party.
Organised by Medina Yacht
Club, which was formed earlier in
2015, this year’s marina event was
staged for the first time in the plush
surroundings of the Royal London
Yacht Club in Cowes.
The end of season celebration,
which marks the laying up the yachts
for the winter, included a sumptuous
supper and dancing to the sounds of
a live band.
As well as enjoying a great night
out, the partygoers also raised a
total of £460 for the Ellen Macarthur
Cancer Trust.
