Slippery situation!
he Island has a horse and pony
population of just under 3,000.
Around 2,500 are ‘in work’, being
ridden out, shown, jumped, competing
at dressage, hunted or driven. For these
riders and carriage drivers the 21st
century is proving to be challenging, with
the increase in the volume and speed of
the traffic making it more difficult to reach
access points on to the Public Rights of
Way network.
