COUNTRY LIFE Staddlestones celebrate opening of showroom S taddlestones, the Island’s family-run dealership for Nissan, Peugeot and SsangYong have recently opened the doors to their new, state-of-the-art building on Brading Road, Ryde. The new facility will house the Peugeot and SsangYong showrooms, and also provides increased workshop bays and office space. Staddlestones are one of the first dealerships in the country to have Peugeot’s new retail concept, which not only provides a relaxing and comfortable environment for customers, while showing the fabulous Peugeot range to its full potential, but also allows the sales team to connect wirelessly to Peugeot’s systems using tablet computers. This allows them to check on delivery dates, arrange finance, and demonstrate colour schemes and accessories, etc. 56 www.visitilife.com Korean brand SsangYong are a new addition to Staddlestones’ offering, and their range of no-nonsense crossovers, people-carriers and pickups are already turning heads, in part due to their five-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Managing Director of Staddlestones, Chris Perkis said: “This represents a big investment for our family business, but it is a commitment we were willing to make because it shows we have faith in the products we sell, our staff, and the Island’s economy.” The new building was constructed using Island-based suppliers wherever possible, and now it is completed, has already created two new jobs. Chris added: “We see this as the re-launch of Peugeot on the Island. As we have all been squashed into one building for over a year, we would like to thank our customers and staff for their patience, and hope they enjoy our new facilities.”
