T
he Isle of Wight Zoo at Yaverland is offering
Islanders a special pass so that one adult and
one child can enter as many times at they like
during a year for just £50.
The Zoo will be staying open all year round,
weather permitting, apart from Christmas Day,
and Island residents have the chance to become
fully integrated into the zoo’s activities via the
membership scheme.
Daily events in the winter include lemur and big
cat feeding times, up close and personal animal
encounters and meet the meerkat encounters
(additional fee for meerkat encounters).
Enjoy a more intimate and laid-back experience
during off-season months – chat to the zoo team
and make friends with the resident wildlife. There’s
great opportunities for children to meet individual
animals and find out about their personalities . They
can also adopt a favourite animal, a great way to
foster and develop care for the natural world in the
next generation
The Zootique Shop and Cafe is open to non-zoo
going customers too, the cafe providing a unique
environment to fill tummies, warm up and relax in
the company of a range of indoor animals while
enjoying a view out into the zoo. Dogs welcome in
the shop and cafe.
