Treats at Seaview Support Xmas toy appeal Chefs at the Seaview Hotel have been busy creating some festive treats for the Seaview Hotel’s Food and Gift Fair, to be held on Saturday December 14 from 10am to 4pm. Boxing Day Chutney, white chocolate and cranberry fudge, and cinder-toffee are just some of the delicacies designed to make the holiday season even more delicious. There’s also a special selection of artisan gifts including ceramics by Sue Paraskeva. Other exhibitors include jeweller Adrienne Wroath and gorgeous throws from Godshill Park Farm. Jack returns to Medina Theatre The ever-popular panto ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ is being staged by That’s Entertainment Productions at the Medina Theatre, Newport between December 21 and 30. BBC TV`s Really Wild Show host, Howie Watkins, returns as the hilarious Dame Trott, and the Island`s own Samara Stanton is the beautiful Fairy Fortuna. It is still not too late to support this year’s Isle Of Wight Christmas Toy Appeal, which helps brighten up Christmas for less fortunate children living here on the Island. You can donate a new unwrapped toy or gift via one of the 13 official drop-off points spread right across the Island up until December 15. Volunteers will then wrap your gift and ensure that it is delivered in time for Christmas. Organisers are working closely with the Isle of Wight Council and more than 20 local charities and organisations to ensure that the Island’s most deserving children will all receive a gift from the Appeal. Toys or gifts must be new and unwrapped - please include batteries if your gift requires them - and be suitable for ages 0-16. Organisers do suggest a value of £10-plus.
