Red Funnel has got Christmas all
wrapped up this year with the special
Red Funnel Cowes Christmas Festival
featuring the Cowes Food Show. It
takes place on December 14 and 15,
from 10am to late afternoon and is

It will feature a special vintage
Santa’s Grotto, the Cowes Carnival
Float, street entertainment, a magician, sessions from Dazzle and Fizz
kids’ parties, competitions, bouncy
castles, live music plus lots more.
Lots to see and do
There’s plenty to see and do on the
Island in the run-up to Christmas and
the New Year.
Cowes Christmas Festival on
December 14 and 15 features a food
theatre with demonstrations from top
local chefs and talks from Isle of Wight
producers.
There will be carols in the Square
at Yarmouth, also on December 14,
creating a wonderful party atmosphere
with mulled wine, mince pies, hot
chestnuts and hot soup being served.
The event starts at 6pm when the
Christmas tree lights are switched on.
The annual Ventnor Boxing Day
Swim on December 26 will see around
100 brave swimmers-and-dippers take
to the icy seas at midday prompt.
