The Isle of Wight Foot Beagles’
opening meet of the 2012/2013 season
was held at The White Lion, Arreton.
About 40 people attended and the
landlord Mr. Chris Coles very kindly
provided a delicious punch. With
permission from the Taylor family,
trails had been laid over to Perreton

and Redway and then east towards
Stickworth Hall and Fulford.
The followers had a grandstand view
of the pack working their way across
Gore Moor to Croucher’s Corner and
beyond. The trail was difficult to
follow as it was competing with the
remains of a crop of elephant garlic

which had been harvested earlier in
the year.
Th IW Foot Beagles usually meet
on Saturdays throughout the winter.
