Fishbourne back
on the Island map
It may be slightly off the beaten
track but Martin and Lisa Bullock
have already made huge strides in
ensuring The Fishbourne is firmly
back on the Island map.
The Fishbourne is situated
just beyond the entrance to the
Wightlink car ferry service to
Portsmouth, and is the latest inn
to have new life breathed into it
thanks to the expertise of Martin,
accompanied by Lisa, his wife of just
a few months.
The multi-award winning New Inn
at Shalfleet and more recently The
Boathouse at Seaview are just two of
several establishments where Martin,
his wife and his dedicated team have
moved in and stamped their mark to
provide customers with fine ales and

wines and excellently prepared and
served food in a warm and inviting
atmosphere.
Now they have taken on the
challenge of The Fishbourne, which
has undergone a major facelift and
refurbishment, and the feedback
Martin and Lisa have been receiving
has been positive and extremely
gratifying.
Attention to detail is always of
paramount importance to Martin,
who said: “We want to create a bit
of a brand. Each place has got their
own identity; each place has its own
head chef, and its own menu. At The
Fishbourne we have five rooms, and
the whole place has been refurbished
from scratch.”
