The Crab And Lobster, Bembridge, is the Good Pub Guide’s Isle of Wight Dining Pub of the Year, 2010. “What makes it really fantastic is it means our customers bothered to write to the Guide, which then sent out a sneaky officer to have a meal,” says proprietor Caroline Quekett. “We didn’t know they had come but they obviously enjoyed their evening.” It goes without saying that the Crab’s customers love its seafood. Lobster is freshly caught daily – weather, of course, permitting. Open all day for drinks, there is a limited all-day menu at weekends in the family-friendly, dog-friendly and walker-friendly bar.
