life FOOD & DRINK Morgans beats the crunch Running a successful restaurant is all about keeping up with the latest trends and flavours and this is exactly what Tim Morgan from Morgans restaurant is planning for 2009. Tim will be launching his new menu from January 09 and to go along with the new menu is a spectacular offer that all of his regular and new diners will find hard to resist. Tim has decided to beat the current "credit crunch" with a fantastic offer. Throughout January 09 Morgans will be inviting diners to "buy one course and get the least expensive course free" and this offer applies to starters, main courses and desserts. (You must have a minimum of two courses) This is an unbelievable offer, one that most people would immediately wonder what's the catch? Tim said "there is no catch to this offer, I will serve exactly what I served prior to the offer. I have to many regular customers who know my food and portion sizes so it would be foolish of me to try and reduce quality or portion sizes. "When times are tough you have to come up with ideas to 98 keep your business running, and I feel it's time to adapt. It's a great offer for my customers and now they can come out and dine for around £20.00 for two, plus of course any drinks." This offer is available from Tuesday to Friday and does not include Saturday's or Sunday's. The exciting thing about this offer is that it comes at a time when Tim is changing the menu. We asked Tim for a sneak preview. He commented "I will be introducing new flavours and winter warmers such as Braised beef in red wine with root vegetables and homemade dumplings, pan fried calves liver with baby shallots finished with a thyme and merlot reduction, pan seared medallions of pork on stilton mashed potato with a creamy sherry and tarragon sauce. "And for desserts homemade chocolate mousse with a cherry brandy compote, spotted dick and custard, apple & rhubarb crumble with vanilla bean ice cream."
