new world

Father Christmas has shed
his red gown for a pure blue
one and a troupe of Russian
soldiers are ready to adorn the
Christmas tree. At Drift, in
Yarmouth and now in Cowes
too, the world is turned a little
upside down. It seems fitting
that a shop which brings the
World to the Island – and
changed its proprietors from
stressed-out rat-race runners
to seekers-out of art and
beauty – should have opened
on April Fool’s Day.
