Scaling the heights for charity
A plucky sponsored abseil down
Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower by Wootton
resident Sue Waddleton succeeded in
raising over £1,200 in much-needed funds
for IW Carriage Driving for the Disabled
- the charity that provides pony carriage
driving sessions at Osborne House for
people with disabilities.
The charity recently had to purchase a new Fenix
Freedom carriage, which can carry wheelchair users as
well as those with greater mobility.
As well as wheelchair users, the charity is looking
for more ambulant people with disabilities to join
the sessions. Organisers say they also want more
volunteers to assist in various practical ways. For more
