overall riding club championship in
2011 at Aston le Walls, winning his
section overall and Sarah winning
best under 25 rider.
In 2011 Sarah started Eventing on
Striker and competed for 3 seasons
up to BE100 Plus. He had very good
results, being placed 13 times in the
top ten, two of these being wins.
Striker still to this day loves coming
to see Sarah for a quick spin round
the jumps. Their latest achievement
was at the 2015 Royal Agricultural
Show where he won the Working
Hunter class and went on to win the
Championship as well, not bad for a
20-year-old horse.
So what’s the future for Striker, as
he’s not ready to retire yet.
“During the summer months I
intend to enter Striker into local
competitions, do a bit of showing
and showjumping and during the
winter months I plan to take Striker
hunting with the Foxhounds which
he really enjoys.
“Striker has been a wonderful horse
and has achieved far more than we
ever expected, now he deserves to
have a bit of fun!”
