MOTORING
Motoring and music
F
or the fifth year the V-Dub Island festival
offered a unique fusion of activities
for both music lovers and V-Dub
enthusiasts. Running over four days from July
23 - 26, the festival had something to enjoy
for all the family.
It certainly featured an eclectic range of
events, from the Mata Hari belly dancers
to a pie-eating extravaganza, and from the
breathtaking Ryde Extreme Performers to a
fabulous line up of dancing and music.
Of course there was a massive V-Dub
presence, with most taking part in the driveout in a roar of engine noise. A family friendly
environment, V-Dub Island is a Volkswagen
enthusiasts’ festival, but everyone is welcome,
and lots of visitors discovered that you didn’t
have to turn up in a VW to have a great time!
