challenging racing at Panerai
British Classic Week 2015 featured
racing from famous yachts such as
Eleonora, Sumurun, Mariquita and
Coral of Cowes from a fleet that
included Griff Rhys Jones on his
1948 Olin Stephen 57’ Bermudan
Yawl ‘Argyll’.
The actor, comedian and classic
yacht owner had the gala dinner
audience in stitches by saying:

“Sailing a classic boat is like taking a
piece of Chippendale furniture and
throwing it into the sea, and then
steering other bits of Chippendale
furniture within inches of it.”
British Classic Yacht Club (BCYC)
founder Tim Blackman welcomed
Amandine Rohmer of Panerai
to present the winners with their
trophies and unique Panerai Plates.
