OUT & ABOUT Duver dance success T his years Dance on the Duver was a huge success, with even the weather behaving well for the evening’s entertainment. Around 300 partygoers of all ages attended the ticket-only event, which was in aid of the RNLI Bembridge Lifeboat Station and the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. From around 8pm, the stage came alive with the sound of Island-based duo That’s Life, followed by the main act, Under Cover. Sue McLagan commented “We were very lucky this year with the weather, and everyone really enjoyed the evening. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who attended the event.” The barbecue supper proved especially popular: “The guys and girls on the barbecue did a wonderful job.” The evening was rounded off in memorable style with a spectacular fireworks display. Sue added: “It was a great night from beginning to end, and we are hoping that it will have raised plenty of money for our charities.” Pictures available to buy online from our website: www.visitilife.com 16 www.visitilife.com
