big strides forward
V
ienna Hounsham is still
only 10 years old, but she is
already making significant strides
in the equestrian world. Vienna,
a pupil at Ryde Junior School,
regularly shows all over England.
Earlier this year she competed at
Patchetts Equestrian Centre in
Hertfordshire; Norton Heath in
Essex; Arena UK in Lincolnshire;
Addington Equestrian Centre in
Buckinghamshire, and Rodbaston

Horse Show at Hickstead, whose
patron is the Queen.
Vienna’s show pony Small-land
Hotspot (stable name Hottie) was
originally bought for Vienna as
a lead rein pony, but with lots of
hard work is now a successful First
Ridden show pony. Vienna had
lessons over the winter with Anita
Niccols, and this summer has
been busy competing at several
Championship Sho ws and County
Shows including the New Forest
and Hampshire Show.
