Sydenhams
celebrate
10 years
of success
The Ryde branch of
Sydenhams recently
celebrated their 10th
anniversary - the Island’s
independent builders’
merchants opting for July 4,
Independence Day to mark
the occasion.
Sydenhams have now
been on the Isle of Wight
since September 2000 with
the opening of the Newport

branch, and Ryde followed in
2004, where a team of eight
work, with the Sandown
branch opening in September,
2012.
However, the company’s
history stretches right back
to 1874 when it opened as a
private family firm, and now
has 14 branches along the
south coast as well as 10 hire
shops.
