OUT & ABOUT
a wide range of local specialists
and artisans, and the festival
always supports a number of local
charities - this year the St John
Ambulance and Beaulieu House.
“This year there were some
moments when our hearts were
in our mouths as we battled
against the wind and rain to erect
all the tents and marquees, then
magically the sun arrived and all
was well for the whole weekend.”
The Festival is deliberately
kept small to about 900 people
including all the performers to
preserve the friendly, intimate

atmosphere where performers
and audience can mingle in
a completely self-contained
environment.
Mike added: “How well it went
could be judged by the huge
number of smiling faces over
the weekend and the number
of people who said they didn’t
want to leave at all as the festival
ended!”
The Festival will take place next
year on July 6, 7 and 8. Details
will soon be on website www.
