SOCIAL SCENE Leverets take their partners! The Leverets, the Isle of Wight Foot Beagles Supporters Club, recently held their second Barn Dance at New Barn Farm, Calbourne, by kind permission of the Spence family. The Leveret committee, dressed as Saloon girls, greeting folk on their arrival. Once again the band “Riptide” played for the event and soon had everyone dancing. The barn had been beautifully decorated, with a rustic feel, by the committee and friends. Shorwell Social Club provided 46 www.visitislandlife.com the bar and Tod and Jackie Carder the mouth-watering refreshments. The evening was a sell out with around 250 attending. All who went had a fantastic evening with many laughs and much joviality. Plans for next year are already underway.
