Island Life - August/September 2010 food ”Matt’s eggs are sold not only at the Farmers’ Market in Newport and farm shops across the Island, they are also available at the Tesco superstore, only a couple of miles from his farm. And in another big step in the right direction, he now supplies the flour from his mill that is used at Tesco’ in-store bakery. It means all the company’s wholemeal bread is made on-site, using Isle of Wight grain. He added: “I think the slogan for the pigs could be born, bred and fed on the Isle of Wight!” Visit our new website - www.visitislandlife.com 151
