Put that light
out!
The 1940s and the wartime years were recreated at the Isle of
Wight Steam Railway over the weekend of July 4 and 5.
Military locomotives were on show, there was a NAFFI, a
1940s’ living room and kitchen, liberated ladies, spivs and the
‘French Resistance’. The patrolling Home Guard asked visitors to
'put that light out’.
