popular. Tuition by guest instructors
in dressage and showjumping is also
arranged and fun days with mounted
games and social events are in the
programme too. A regular newsletter is
produced by the members themselves with
handy hints from Lynn and her instructors
Louise Twinberrow and Nicola Saunders
on stable management, as well as profiles
of the members’ favourite Allendale
ponies.
There are 29 achievement badges
available to test the members’ knowledge
of equine and non equine subjects ranging
from tack cleaning to care of the horse’s
foot. Anyone passing 21 achievement
badges is awarded the Gold Achievement
Badge as recognition of their hard
work. Allendale also runs traditional
Pony Club D to A tests, A-test being
an internationally recognised grade of
extremely high level.
You can join the Pony Club centre at
Allendale as soon as you are five years
old and able to ride off the lead rein.
