High Sheriff’s
reception
Over 350 people representing a complete
cross-section of Island life gathered for a
cocktail party and reception at Tyne Hall on
Saturday July 1, as invited guests of the High
Sheriff Peter Grimaldi and his wife Davinia.
The party was given as a way of
acknowledging the valuable contribution
made to life on the Island by a whole range
of organisations and individuals, including
business and trades people, social, education
and voluntary workers, the emergency and
rescue services, youth organisations, Council
officials, elected members and town mayors.
Guests enjoyed champagne and canapés
in a beautifully-decorated marquee and
were entertained by music from the
Sandown and Shanklin Military Band.
