Summer pony project at Ryde School
Ryde School is running a Summer School again this year between , Monday 16 July and Friday 10 August – but new for this summer will be the addition of a riding option .
Designed to be packed with activities and sports for children aged from 5 to 15 years old , this year ’ s event will be divided into four age and activity groupings . ‘ Young Adventurers ’ for ages 5 to 7 and ‘ Sports & Activities ’ for ages 8 to 13 will be full of activities run in the school grounds and outdoor learning centre . Full and half-days are available for both these courses . ‘ Adventure Activities ’ for ages
10 to 15 will be based around school and Island based activities , including sailing and climbing , while ‘ The Island Pony Project ’ for 10 to 15 year olds is based both at The Island Riding Centre and in the school grounds . Designed so that children from across the Island and further afield can have a fun-packed programme that fits with parent working hours , all courses have core hours of 9am to 5pm with optional extensions for breakfast club at 8am and supper club with pick-up at 6pm , after supper .
Friendly , DBS-checked instructors and staff will create adventurous fun from Monday to Friday , including sports and outdoor activities , drama , cookery , art and craft . Sailing , climbing and riding are available for the older children and a residential option is also available with accommodation at Ryde School ’ s boarding houses in Bembridge .
