Show that tickled the tastebuds
Unseasonal snow and freezing temperatures didn’t seem to put off
any of the exhibitors or caterers attending Medina Foodservice’s
17th annual catering exhibition in February.
In fact, there was a
strong and steady
footfall making its way
through the marquee
at Robin Hill Country
Park, following their
noses to test out
the latest products
and take advantage
of some special
exhibition savings.

The tea was flowing and the hot
food served up by the Isle of Wight
College soon warmed the cockles
of visitors - enough even for the ice
cream to go down well from the
Isle of Wight Ice Cream Company
and Minghella. There was a lot of
support from other local exhibitors
too, including Calbourne Classics,
the Tomato Stall and, new to
Medina’s repertoire, Briddlesford
Lodge Dairy Farm.
Medina Foodservice was also
proudly exhibiting its own in-
house butchery department,
firmly established for over 70
years, while there were also lots of
exhibitors – from big-brand names
to newcomers - who travelled across
country, battling snow and ice to get
their products on display, and ensure
that a fantastic range was on show.
Fine dining establishments and
caterers alike will benefit from the
show too, further down the line,
when some of the exciting new
product launches are added to
menus across the South next season.
