Fashion, health & beauty Hair Lounge relocates Hair Lounge, the successful hair salon has relocated to St Thomas Square in the heart of Newport. Brett Gardner, proprietor, commented: “We felt that we had outgrown our previous location. Where we are now is far better for us and our clientele.” Hair Lounge, which has been established for over 6 years, has a team of talented stylists on hand. “We have a strong and confident team of stylists including some up and coming talent.” Brett’s a great believer in training and works closely with TIGI and their artistic team. The new premises took Brett and his team only two 88 www.visitilife.com weeks to complete and then the doors were open for business. “Being located on the ground floor has made our clients life and our life a lot easier, we are right in the heart of where it all happens.” Their new premises are fully air-conditioned and they retail the complete TIGI range. The team consist of four senior members, Lauren, Toni, Jess and Brett and two talented and upcoming apprentices, Lucy and Chelsea. Working alongside Brett is Lauren, who has appeared in Island Life previously. Lauren will be running a private hair-loss clinic, My New Hair, offering one-to- one consultations to help Island residents. Lauren commented: “After my own experience with hair-loss due to Chemotherapy, I felt being a hairdresser I wanted to give something back and support others going through similar experiences. My clinic is for anyone who suffers from any form of hair loss, with treatment ranging from Nioxin, a range of products that encourages hair growth, to hair replacement systems and personalisation. “Our team looks forward to welcoming all clientele new and old to the new location.”
