Making wishes
Recently Brading Haven Yacht
Club hosted an evening in aid
of the Make a Wish Foundation.
The Foundation provides funds
to seriously ill children in order to
‘Make a Wish Come True’.
Club member, Gordon Wight was already
raising funds so the Club decided to add
their efforts to his by holding this event.
Businesses and individuals were approached
for donations; the response was extraordinarily
generous providing items to auction and
raffle. The single most expensive lot went for
£1,100 the cheapest a less dramatic but still
valuable £10.
A total of £5,000 was raised to put with the
£1,500 already raised by Gordon. Anyone

A fantastic night was had by all, with
excellent food and good company!
