Alongside her sculptures which Lisa sites
as her ‘exploded paintings’ will be a series
of two dimensional paintings of acrylic on
canvas. These abstract, energetic works
draw inspiration from all around her and
her life on the island is a large influence.

day to feel that unique calm, a balm to
soothe the soul” she said.
After wandering the gardens Sam and
Anne Twining are also inviting the public
to stay for tea… or rather Pimms on the
lawn and a ploughman’s lunch and a
chance to view more of Lisa’s paintings
on the top terrace of the garden. An
opportunity to buy a unique Traxler
painting or even win an art piece in a
raffle will also be on offer.
Proceeds from the event will go to St.
Lawrence’s two churches - the second of
which was designed by Gilbert Scott and
has original William Morris stained glass.
