Start with a good tidy up, clearing
weeds from borders, pruning and
re-shaping summer flowering shrubs
and cutting back any dead wood.
Prune spring flowering shrubs after
they have finished flowering. Roses
need pruning early April, cut back to
an outward facing bud and cut away
weak growth.
All roses, shrubs and perennials
need a good boost, feed with a slow
release fertilizer, growmore or chicken
manure. Plant new shrubs, perennials
and trees, add bonemeal for good root
growth and remember to protect new
shoots from slugs.
Plan for your summer garden of
