takes photographs of his views, and then
transforms them into paintings in his studio.
Now many are available as prints or greetings
cards.
Eddie recalls: “After Shirley gave me the
water colour set she told me the challenge was
to teach myself to paint. I have to be honest
at the time I thought it was a stupid idea. But
then I started painting airplanes, and within
two years I was making a living out of it. Now
I have come full circle, and painting views of
the Island gives me the opportunity to return
here whenever I can. If for any reason the
customer is unhappy with their purchase we
will refund all monies, providing the goods are
returned in mint condition.”
It normally takes Eddie only a few weeks
to produce a painting once he has taken a
photograph of his subject, and he continues to
scour the Island for subjects, as he will when
he returns here in May for Walk the Wight.
