Six Cowes Food Shows planned
Following on from the success of the Cowes Food Shows
held in 2012, Red Funnel have now confirmed six Shows for
2013 with the first having kicked off in March.
The Cowes Food Show was started by Red Funnel
with Calbourne Classics and Widget Productions to help
showcase some of the delicious local produce and talented
local chef’s on the Isle of Wight. At each show there is an
interactive Food Theatre with live cooking demonstrations,
local food and drink producer stalls, children’s
entertainments and live music.
Each of the shows also has a theme and special guest
stalls which includes Spring Plants and Flowers, Arts
& Crafts, Christmas, Halloween and more. The shows
take place in Fountain Yard, Cowes next to the Red
Jet Terminal and admission is free. To find out more

Kate to host 'World of Wine'
Kate Goodman, the new face of the
BBC’s recently re-launched Food & Drink
programme, is to host the Isle of Wight
Spring Garden Show’s ‘World of Wine’ on
April 27 and 28.
Kate, who appears on the popular TV
series alongside Michel Roux Jnr, will
bring her vast knowledge of all things red,
white and rosé to the Show and present
several exciting wine tasting sessions each
afternoon for visitors to enjoy.
Over the last decade Kate has become
one of Britain’s brightest young wine gurus.
